The Cartier rectangular gilt silver and black enamel compact, with interior beveled mirror, lipstick and powder well, the lid with diamond-set platinum potted tree appliqué, and the platinum thumbpush channel-set with square-cut diamonds. Total diamond weight is approximately 1.35 carats, and measuring 2 5/8 x 1 3/4 x 1/2 inches. Signed Cartier London, ref. no. 63944614, JC mark for Jacques Cartier, and English hallmarks.
